Helen WolfHelen Wolf (Austrian-American 1912-1970) Helen Wolf was born in Vienna, Austria. In 1924, at the age of twelve she moved with her parents to Prague, where she discovered her talent for painting. She painted in Prague for a number of years, was married, and then at the onset on WW2 in 1940, moved to England where they lived in London for 5 years. In 1945, at the end of the war, they moved to New York where she remained for the rest of her career. "She exhibited widely, won several scholarships and prizes, and became a member of several respected associations. The quality of her work, the sheer beauty of paint color and texture, and her design, endow her paintings with a distinction that is conspicuous in any National exhibition."
